CASTING INFORMATION
The Sizzling Sirens Burlesque Experience is the Capitol City’s original burlesque troupe, with an almost 5 year track record of positive evolution and collaboration within Sacramento’s alternative arts & culture community.

The Sizzling Sirens are composed of a resident cast of performers, with a rotational supporting cast set to feed into and grow with the scope of the Experience’s ever expanding repertoire of original productions and private events.

We are currently accepting casting submissions for supporting cast members for participation in the scope of the troupe’s various productions and activities in the Sacramento region and beyond.

Due to the demand for participation we receive, we have created a simple, 3 step audition process in order to be considered for casting: online, in studio, then live performance (see below for details).

**Please note that insincere or incomplete submissions will not receive a response, and that you must be AT LEAST 21+, in order to be considered for casting.

All appropriate and engaging submissions will receive a response with more information about the next step!

STEP #1 : Online Submission
Please email the information below to: info@sizzlingsirensburlesque.com, with the subject line: Casting Submission

Please include the following in your submission:

A brief statement about why you love burlesque and live performance, as well as the reason you feel you would make a great addition to the Siren team!
A current headshot
Performance/Industry/Arts Resume
1 – 2 minute video of a personally costumed and choreographed burlesque solo that reflects the elements of personality and character you wish to explore through your burlesque experience, as well as some elements you find to be critical/pivotal aspects of burlesque and performance in general. (please note: this round, we do not want to see improve – please create a piece you could perform again for us live)

STEP #2 : In-Studio Audition

Per your above submission, we may ask you to come into our studio (Siren Burlesque Boutique & Studio – 2419 ½ J Street, Sacramento 95816) at a predetermined time to perform your recorded routine for us, and have a face to face interview with the Sirens Casting Director and resident performers.

We will contact you via email with more information, as well as details of what to expect, etc.

After the in-studio audition, all participants will receive an email response within 48hrs either with callback information, or a big thank you for participating up to this point!

STEP #3 : Live Performance @ Fishnet Friday
If you receive a callback after the in-studio interview, it will include information about scheduling a final audition, which is comprised of performing your audition solo for our live audience at the next Fishnet Friday event at Dive Bar.

Within 24hrs of your live performance audition, you will receive a final participation notice from us, with information about setting up a Siren-production orientation/rehearsal workshop session schedule with us, as well as field any/all questions you may have up to that point.
