DANCE EXPERIENCE
Unless otherwise noted, a dance background is by no means necessary to enjoy the Siren burlesque experience: both novice and advanced dancers will be able to discover the joy and challenge associated with a persona-based style of movement and performance like burlesque fusion.


WHAT TO WEAR TO CLASS
Jazz shoes, character shoes, comfortable reinforced heels no higher than 4 inches…even bare feet work!

It is suggested that you arrive with a pair of comfortable flats (ballet slippers, jazz shoes, sneakers), and bring a pair of low heels (no higher than 4 inches) with a reinforced ankle or ‘t’ strap so they fit securely on your feet.

Wear comfortable clothing that does not limit your mobility, and that allows you to see the lines of your body as you move: Yoga pants, booty shorts, tank tops, etc. will suit you fine.

Fishnets, gloves, or anything sassy you have that makes your inner Siren shine doesn’t hurt either! Dressing up is part of the fun, so feel free to bring some of your favorite pieces to dance in (routine props will be provided for workshop and/or class use by instructor).

***It is highly suggested that students bring a pair of long (at least elbow length) gloves to class with them for use in various movement combinations***

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A SIREN WORKSHOP
If you arrive with an open mind ready to sweat, expect to have a great experience!

One of the core joys of Burlesque Fusion is the exploration and discovery of your burlesque attitude, or ‘inner siren’ as we like to call it. Much like any other educational experience, the amount of knowledge/gratification/catharsis you experience is wholly dependent on your ability to let loose and have fun!

Every workshop begins with a welcome from your instructor, as well as being led through the Siren stretch and warm up sequence. We have spent many hours compiling what we believe are the most pertinent and beneficial components of stretch and base movement to be included in the standardized Siren stretch and warm up, to afford students a solid foundation for the elements we present later in each class.

Then, depending on the workshop you are participating in, your instructor will lead you through different movement combinations related to the class’s focus, unique to the specific workshop you attend.

RESERVATION & PAYMENT INFO
Reservations are strongly encouraged, though drop-ins are welcome the day of non-routine workshops ONLY if space allows.

Drop in fee for all individual Siren Burlesque Workshops is $15. Routine/Performance workshops must be reserved and paid for in full prior to class start date.

ALL NON-PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF THE WORKSHOP YOU ATTEND.

SIREN BURLESQUE WORKSHOP CARDS
Siren workshop cards make a great gift for that special someone, or a unique way for you to treat yourself to an awesome burlesque experience!

Both 4 and 8 workshop cards are valid for use only with individual Siren Burlesque Workshops (routine workshops must be paid for separately).

Once you have purchased your workshop card online and receive Paypal confirmation, your Workshop card will be mailed to you within 3-5 business days at the address you provided during purchase.

4 Workshop Cards are valid for up to THREE MONTHS from the date of purchase.
8 Workshop Cards are valid for up to SIX MONTHS from the date of purchase.

Once a workshop card expires, it is no longer valid/redeemable for workshops at the studio. Once purchased, workshop passes may not be exchanged for participation in other Siren workshops or events, and are not redeemable for cash.

ADMISSION, ARRIVAL & CAPACITY
Please note that all classes and workshops are open to anyone 18 and over who reserve a space properly and arrive with an open mind and positive attitude.

Studio Director reserves the right to expel students at her discretion.

No more than 6 students will be allowed into each workshop at the burlesque academy – reservations will close when a workshop is full.
 Our goal is to leave you feeling like you genuinely learned something and got the attention you deserve!

Doors will always open 15mins prior to the start of a workshop, and workshops begin right on time.

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS/TRANSFERS POLICY
Deposits (if applicable) are non-refundable, and non-transferrable to another student.

All pre-paid workshop series assume 50% of the total tuition as deposit for the workshop.

Cancellations within 48 hours of purchase (if more than 14 days from start), will receive a full refund within 6 weeks of cancellation.

Fees paid for one class are not transferrable to another class.

If class is cancelled by instructor, pre-payments will be 100% refunded to students within 6 weeks.

If student cancels more than 14 days before class start date – deposit (if applicable) is non-refundable, but any other class fee will be refunded within 6 weeks

Reservations cancelled within 14 days of class start date will receive a 25% refund within 6 weeks of cancellation.

Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of start date forfeit 100% of workshop fee.

ACADEMY LOCATION
The Sizzling Sirens Burlesque Academy is located within Siren Burlesque Boutique at 2419 1/2 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816. We are located across from Chicago Fire Pizza on J Street, between 24th and 25th streets, in the ground floor of a charming grey and white victorian house next to the Sugar Shack boutique.
