ABOUT THE WORKSHOP The workshop begins with a healthy dose of cardio to get you warmed up and ready to sizzle…Cardio Burlesque is an incredibly fun and addictive fusion based workout that explores interchanging elements of basic burlesque, jazz, hip hop and Latin dance styles, presented a high energy aerobic format by veteran Siren Instructor Sass Herass. Sass is a certified Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor and experienced dance and aerobics teacher, who loves to make her students sweat!
Next the workshop transitions into Burlesque 101, which begins by presenting an overview of burlesque fusion basics, including movement, history and technique, and was created to afford a vehicle for students to celebrate themselves and take some time to explore their sensuality with a throwback to the classics infused with the Siren's signature flair. Your Siren Instructors will lead you through a variety of basic burlesque fusion dance combinations, incorporating various styles of movement into the burlesque framework, so that by the end of the segment you walk away with your own personalized arsenal of burlesque style and attitude!

The workshop culminates with Burlesque Peel and Reveal, which will focus on the many tantalizing aspects of Burlesque's most classic form: the striptease. Focusing on themed, guided improve and movement combinations, while learning to honor and celebrate your body through various reveal techniques for core burlesque costume items, and achieving a performer’s nuance and grace while executing a Solo Burlesque Striptease — from contemporary to classic, bump 'n grind to grindhouse, your Siren Instructor will relay key tips and tricks of the trade for maintaining the attention, energy and interest of your audience during any performance.
Your Siren Instructors have a true passion for helping their students discover their inner burlesquer, framed through each Siren's signature style and panache, while presented in a digestible, all level format. The Siren Intro to Burlesque Fusion Workshop is open to all levels, and is geared to accommodate students of any (or none!) performance/dance background.
